I'm going to hunt for some good backpack shoulder straps, and then find one that has a large enough area that will allow me to bolt through it, with fender washers and a bit of reinforcing, to the VESA wall mount bolt holes. So, I'm thinking about doing something odd. It's a big box, hard to carry and with the glass panels, problematic for things like straps/dollies. Has anyone ever used any kind of a special case for transporting these cases? They're slightly larger than a usual desktop tower case given the feet and the glass/chrome elements.Įdit: To move this thing from my house, lower level, to my car for transport I'm thinking of doing something unusual. I'm concerned about it being damaged along that route. I could just, carefully, place it in my back seat of my car, drive to an event, unload it onto a cart or a dolly of some sort, wheel it to the event, unpack it all and then reverse that process to get it home. I will have the need to transport my tempered glass Core P5 on some occasions for VR demonstrations. Its due for a replacement anyways, as i've had it for 4 maybe 5 years now, but still don't want it dying before I can get another drive to clone it to. Its not as hot, but the WD is definitely driving up the temps since its sitting right next to the seagate, and the seagate has all my data on it. Its the other drive, the seagate one, i'm worried about. The one running hot i'm not too worried about, since I just store games on it, and that can be redownloaded. Mounting fans on the back would probably make wallmounting improbable, but don't mind that much since its been sitting next to my desk this whole time anyways. Running a C6H and so far its done a good job at monitoring that, especially since I have a temp sensor hooked up to watch liquid temps. The fans all connected to a splitter and plugged directly into the motherboard, allowing it to control fan speeds as needed. Loving the case, had it for over 2 years now and FINALLY put it together with this loop, but when i started testing for temps i noticed these problems.Ĭlick to expand.Don't have a hub. Has anyone figured out a way to get some cooling back there?Īlso since this case has no way to mount fans in such a fashion to blow air onto the motherboard, the NVM regularly gets up to 70c, which i figure isn't good for it. This also seemed to help the hard drives cool a bit, since it was pulling that hot air out of the case, but only dropped the temp down by 2c. For now i've taken the back off the case to help alleviate some heat and it seems to help.Īlso the recommended fan setup, with air being pushed out the back, didn't make sense so i flipped the fans and put them between the rad and case to pull air from the back. The other one is a seagate drive, 5900rpm and gets up to 44c. The hard drives in the back have no way to be cooled, and one of them regularly gets up to 53c. Ryzen 1700X, Vega 64, EKWB loop with an Samsung 960 NVME and 2 hard drives in the back, but i've noticed something with this case that kinda makes me worry. ![]() Finally finished my build with this case.
